Well, we know all who the Black Sabbath were – they were the Godfathers of heavy metal. Formed by guitarist and main songwriter Tony Iommi, bassist and main lyricist Geezer Butler, drummer Bill Ward and singer Ozzy Osbourne in Birmingham in 1968. Often billed as pioneers of heavy metal music who helped define the genre by releasing masterpieces such as Black Sabbath (1970), Paranoid (1970) and Master of Reality (1971). Despite having multiple line-up changes with Iommi being the only constant member, the band was one of the longest running heavy metal band until they called it quits earlier this year.
