The 2020 Perth Festival Australia will get everyone excited in 2020 as a 10km stretch of road will be closed and turn it into a Highway To Hell Theme as a tribute to Bon Scott.
The busy road of Canning Highway will be shut closed for 10 hours on March 1 next year to give way for the Perth Festival.
The festival will be a free event, titled Highway To Hell, and a wide range of artists will be participating to give their tribute for the AC/DC legend, Bon Scott. From AC/DC tribute bands to the Perth Symphony Orchestra will perform their own versions of AC/DC classics on the backs of a convoy of flatbed trucks and trailers.
Organizers say:
“We’re reclaiming the iconic Canning Highway and turning it into the world’s longest stage for a day!
“Bring the family and join us as we celebrate our city and its connection to iconic Aussie band AC/DC. From the Raffles Hotel to the Old Fremantle Traffic Bridge, we’re closing the road to create a musical event that will have everyone singing along.
“Taking inspiration from the AC/DC song of the same name and Bon Scott’s connection to the area we’re paying homage to Highway To Hell.”
The Perth Festival will kick off on February 7 until March 1.
