Dave Grohl is blown away
The Foo Fighters are currently on their U.S. tour which kicked off last April 18 in Austin, Texas. And what a tour kick-off it was that’s hard to forget when a fan in the audience wearing full-on Gene Simmons KISS make up caught the attention of frontman Dave Grohl and invited him to come on stage.
Grohl asked the fan, “You ever done this before? It’s really fine,” as the singer hands the fan member his Gibson guitar to play “Monkey Wrench”. The fan, now endearingly referred to by Grohl as “KISS Guy” was surprisingly takes the gutiar and even brought out his own guitar pick and absolutely nails the lead guitar solo. Grohl was so shocked and so amazed by “KISS Guy” that he actually forgot the lyrics to the song he was singing and ended up bowing to the unexpected talented fan. Grohl even asked the band to bring down the volume so he can hear “KISS Guy” shred even more.
Needless to say Dave Grohl’s mind was blown.
