When Paul McCartney counted “1, 2, 3, 4!” The World Was “Beatles” To Death!
The Beatles debut, ‘Please Please Me’ was the record that would change the Fab Four’s lives forever. When it was released, the Beatles didn’t know it yet that they would achieve such a legendary status. They had produced one great song, and it was a fair success, ‘Love Me Do’, and one great single, Please Please Me’.
They’ve recorded the album in one day, and with just that they already produced an absolute classic out of thin air. The album was, of course, rushed, but despite that, it still sounds so tight and was well-constructed. Yep, that’s how incredible they were, and that’s how talented they are. Well, that’s pretty obvious, with all the things they pioneered.
The album consists of 14 tracks, and 6 covers, all were written by the Beatles writing duo, Lennon and McCartney.
“Please Please Me” is one of the best albums of all-time. It was their debut was the Beatles tried to reach the mainstream and grabbing it successfully! It remains one of the Beatles’ most accessible record to date and because of that, every Beatles fan had their homes with a constant ‘on repeat’ player.
The album’s achievements were also quite astonishing, it topped the charts in the UK and peaked at the Top 5 in the German Album charts.
But of course, the album was not really released in “what we know” form. The album was originally split among a 1964 album called Introducing… The Beatles and a 1965 album called The Early Beatles. It was released in the form that the rest of the world knows in 1987, it was standardized in a CD format and was officially released as Please Please Me in the US.
