5. Suicide – “Suicide”
The studio album of the band with the same name – was released in 1977 under Red Star Records. It was a critically acclaimed album and had positive reviews from the UK press. It failed to peak at the chart due to the mixed reviews in the United States.
4. The Carpenters – “A Song for You”
The fourth studio album of the duo the Carpenters. The siblings released their 4th record on June 22 of 1972 – the album was ranked 26 on the Cash Box‘s Top 100 Albums of 1972. It was one of the finest works of the duo.
3. Simon & Garfunkel – “Bridge Over Troubled Waters”
The fifth and the final studio album of the folk-rock duo. It was released in January 1970 under their label Columbia Records. This album consists of the two’s most iconic songs such as “Bridge over Troubled Water” and “The Boxer” which were included on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
2. Ike & Tina Turner – “Workin’ Together”
The couple’s breakout album that was released in 1970. The album includes one of their most iconic songs, the cover of Proud Mary, a song originally written by John Fogerty and performed by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The iconic performance of the duo became instantly a hit and became a frenzied classic.

The live album of the rock n’ roll duo Everly Brothers. It was released in 1970. The live album was performed as a one-hour musical variety show on the ABC television network as a replacement for The Johnny Cash Show in 1970.
