In addition to Megadeth and Lamb of God, the tour will also include Trivium and In Flames on opening sets.
The tour marks Megadeth’s first North American run since 2017 after Dave Mustaine’s battle with throat cancer. Mustaine was diagnosed at the moment when Megadeth was recording their new album. Finally, at their recent show in London, Mustaine said that he underwent 51 radiation treatments and nine chemotherapy treatments and is now “100 percent” cancer-free.
However, Megadeth hasn’t posted any updates yet about their untitled 16th album. But Mustaine is prepping a new book about the band’s seminal 1990 LP, Rust in Peace which he co-wrote with Joel Selvin, called Building the Perfect Beast, and is set to arrive September 8th.
