What Could Be The Fate Of Rolling Stones Now?
In one of their newest interviews, The Rolling Stones share their opinions on what the future would look like post Charlie Watts and the likelihood that No Filter would probably be their last tour. Mick Jagger shared to writer David Fricke that “I don’t know. I mean, anything could happen.”
“I’ve been asked that question since I was 31,” he added.
“You know, if things are good next year and everyone’s feeling good about touring, I’m sure we’ll do shows,” he said. “I’m just trying to concentrate on this tour now.”
Jagger continued that everything will be depending on the success of the current No Filter tour. They’ve now recruited new member Steve Jordan as well to fill in the legendary drum kit Charlie Watts left behind.
When Keith Richards was asked about the tour and if it’s about “finding out what feels right and possible,” he then responded:
“It’s more that way,” he said. “We hit a very difficult point, to take this thing out. But we’re gonna do it. Charlie was prepared for us to go ahead. We were expecting him to pick it up somewhere. Steve was, thankfully, going to be the pickup. But things ain’t turned out that way.”
Lastly, Ronnie Wood’s response was:
“I got a feeling that we’re just tickling the surface here. We’re seeing another unexploded mine. It’s got a lot of time on it.”
It seems like they pretty open to anything but keeping a positive outlook on what’s still ahead in this new chapter of their career without Charlie.
