Now This Will WOW Everyone!
There have been several half-time shows at the Superbowl which we absolutely loved – like Prince’s 12-minute epic performance complete with singing “Purple Rain” in the middle of a storm, Aerosmith’s unlikely collaboration with NSYNC, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, and Nelly which surprisingly worked, and Tom Petty’s underrated but unforgettable set. But, like everyone else, we have our own “dream Super Bowl half-time show’ with nothing but the best and flashiest rockstars whose music we grew up falling in love with over and over again.
We all know that one of the things everyone looks forward to during the game is the “concert of the year” which is a way for any artist to showcase their talent and creativity. It’s mostly hit or miss – you either like it or you don’t. Thus, we came up with the following lineup who are guaranteed to deliver the goods.
Brian Johnson and Angus Young kicks off the show with a rousing and energetic performance of their 2014 hit “Rock or Bust”. It’s a welcome sight to see this iconic duo in one stage again with Brian belting out the high notes like it’s no big deal and Angus doing his famous duck walk. Axl Rose did a fine job covering for him but Brian is Brian.
While the audience were still on a high, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora take the stage showing everyone how it’s done with a jaw-dropping take on “Livin’ On A Prayer.” And the best part is, the whole crowd singing along with them – proof that classics never go out of style.
And of course, what better way to end it with a bang than by having Steve Perry belt out to “Don’t Stop Believin'”? It’s the perfect ending to the perfect half-time show. With Steve Perry finally making a comeback with his new album, everyone would be eager to see him perform this iconic Journey tune.
People will be talking about this lineup for the next few years, that’s for sure.
