Ozzy Osbourne announced he may work on a new album next month while recovering from various health concerns he had faced over the past year.

Last week, the Prince of Darkness released his 12th studio album titled, “Ordinary Man,” marking his first release in a decade. He worked with producer and guitarist Andrew Watt, GN’R bassist Duff McKagan, and Red Hot Chilli Pepper drummer Chad Smith, special guests include Slash, Elton John, and Tom Morello.

Ozzy shared some insight with iHeartRadio about the new release and his plans for a new record.

“With this album, because I was so miserable the last year, it was a relief just to get and do something that I love to do,” explains Ozzy. “I had no deadlines. And I’m hoping that next month I’ll go and do another album with Andrew. I might as well, while I’m not doing gigs.”

Osbourne recently canceled his North American tour and will soon head to Europe for additional treatments.

“I’m so thankful that everyone has been patient because I’ve had a s**t year,” says Osbourne. “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six-eight weeks.

“I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans. I’d rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time.”

The North American tour is set to resume on May 27 at Atlanta, GA.
