Elton John unexpectedly delighted a group of passersby by sitting down to play the piano that he himself donated to London’s St Pancras International station in London, for the enjoyment of citizens.
The veteran singer and pianist appeared suddenly to, according to him, “baptize” the instrument that he has given to the central train station, where he gave a “mini recital” to astonished fans.
After playing the instrument, the composer of well-known songs like Rocket Man left a note, which read: “Enjoy this piano. It is a gift. With love, Elton John.”
Elton John not only went to the Pancras International Station railway station to delight those present with his music. The reason for the visit was none other than the self-promotion of his new studio album at the time -the thirty-third of his career-, Wonderful Crazy Night, which was released on February 5, 2016.
Passersby were frozen to see how – piano included – Elton John launched himself to perform a small concert on the station.
After performing several chords to the people who gathered at the station to enjoy the impromptu show, John thanked them and left the building.
