The Judas Priest lead singer Rob Halford has been in a collaborative mood lately. The heavy metal frontman recently had involvements win Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment, and Babymetal and he ain’t stopping there. He has revealed more upcoming possible collabs with big artists from Behemoth and Ghost. Halford said in statement to Phoenix New Times,
“Nergal [from Behemoth] and I are possibly doing a collaboration. I was in the dressing room with Tobias [Forge] from GHOST, and we talked about collaborative opportunities too. It’s fun for musicians to step into each other’s world. It’s like different football teams — it’s the same game but a different play. I’m just very curious to see where my voice can fit in.”
Earlier this year, Halford has spoken out about his desires to do a black metal album that incorporates all the biggest names in metal working together. He still hopes that something like that will push through in the near future, telling Noisey,
“The black metal project! It keeps being about to lift the launchpad, but it never quite gets anywhere.”
We just all have to wait and see if any of Halford’s collaborative ambitions will come to fruition.
