Steven Tyler and Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt cover The Rolling Stones’ classic 1971 song Brown Sugar for a new tribute album called Muscle Shoals… Small Town, Big Sound. The record is a tribute album to the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where the Rolling Stones recorded the original song.
The tribute compilation album also features other big rockstar appearances such as Kid Rock, Grace Potter of Grace Potter And The Nocturnals, country stars Willie Nelson and Chris Stapleton and Alison Krauss and many more. Truly rockstar-studded!

The album has an official YouTube channel which features footage of Tyler recording “Brown Sugar,” and talking about what makes Muscle Shoals a special place to make music, saying
“To be here and record in the midst of the vibe and the music that was created here is what I came here for.”
The late founder of FAME Studios Rick Hall’s son Rodney Hall was responsible for making this tribute album a possibility.
Part of the money raised from sales of the album will benefit the Grammy Foundation and the Muscle Shoals Music Foundation.
