The Van That Started It All!
Before Aerosmith sold out arenas all over the world, like any other bands, they started as a struggling band from Boston Massachusetts, in 1970. The van’s specific model that was recovered by American Pickers’ Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz was produced from the late-1930s to the late-1970s, which piqued both of their interest.
“If they used this van when they first started rocking, it would have been old enough where they could acquire it pretty cheap.” – Mike Wolfe

The location of the van where it was located was in Massachusetts, and to confirm the authenticity of the van and even the potential price tag, they asked for help from the band or close to it. Fortunately, Wolfe was just a few aways from founding band member Ray Tabano.
“I’m afraid to say how long it is, but it’s like 40 years since we’ve been in this thing, I just flashback to when we first started the band, ‘cause it was an amazing thing, you know. All of a sudden, here’s this thing that you know, we lived in. It was like our dressing room, you know, it was like a rolling hotel.” – Tabano
