Two Legends Trading Shreds!
The first two nights of Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival that was held at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas something magical happened.
For the very first time throughout his career as a musician, Slowhand had finally performed with Peter Frampton last September 20 and the two rock legends performed “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”
Before the magical performance happens Frampton stated:
“I’m just honored that he contacted me and asked me to play. We’ve known each other for years but this is a big moment for me.”
After they performed three-set of songs (“While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” “Georgia (On My Mind),” and “Do You Feel Like We Do”), Frampton shared to the crowd:
“This is something that’s been a dream of mine for many, many years… decades. I can’t believe it’s going to happen right now but I’m going to invite out a friend I’ve known a long time but never played together… Mister Eric Clapton…”
The crowd then applauded with so much excitement seeing the two legends of rock played together for the first time.
After Frampton hugged Clapton and said to the crowd:
“You may know this one.”
