Established in 1971, Queen led by singer Freddie Mercury has released numerous studio albums and chart-topping songs, including “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “We Are the Champions”.
After Mercury’s death, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor are currently touring with vocalist Adam Lambert.
Although in the 70s they had already consolidated their status as one of the most successful bands, Queen’s legacy would not be the same if they had not played, for example, in Live Aid revived in the film “Bohemian Rhapsody” (nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture), one afternoon in July 1985. Nor if they had not appeared at Wembley Stadium on July 12, 1986.
No one could have imagined that less than a month later, on August 9th, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon would go on stage together for the last time, as part of the Magic Tour. After the publication of the album “A Kind of Magic”, Queen appeared in Knebworth Park before more than 120 thousand people, to close that European tour, after giving 21 concerts in 62 days.
