Foreigner is a rock band formed in New York City in 1976 by veteran musicians Mick Jones and former King Crimson Ian McDonald, with the then-unknown singer Lou Gramm. Foreigner has sold more than 50 million records worldwide (including more than 30 million in the US alone).
In 2005, the band replaced Lou Gramm with Kelly Hansen as the group’s official vocalist and debuted, in 2009, “I Can’t Slow Down”, was the only comprehensive collection of new songs released by the band since Hansen took over on vocals after original singer Lou Gramm left the band for good in 2002. The album went into the Billboard Top 30, boosted by the radio singles “In Pieces” and “When it comes to love.” The band has also released a number of live albums and compilations, including those from 2016. “In Concert: Unplugged” and 2017 “40.”
